Bret Baier's Special Heart

As a correspondent who covered wars and civil unrest up-to-the-minute, reporting live from Iraq and Afghanistan numerous times since 2001, Bret Baier certainly knows something about thorny, adrenaline-spiking, and life-threatening situations, but if you ask him what was the most frightening and momentous experience of his life, his answer will be: caring for his critically ill newborn son.

The Fox News Channel Chief Political Anchor ("Special Report With Bret Baier") just released his memoirs SPECIAL HEART: A Journey of Faith, Hope, Courage and Love  (Center Street Books, June 3) which chronicles his son Paul's congenital heart disease diagnosis and miraculous medical recovery. Head over Miss A™ "Charity Meets Style" for my full article about this very special book: the author, in fact,  is donating 100% of proceeds from sales to various non-profit pediatric heart causes.

You can give your valuable contribution to the congenital heart diseases research, purchasing a copy of the book.

About the book
SPECIAL HEART is a deeply touching personal story told through the eyes of a journalist as he faces the most daunting challenge in life - far more frightening than reporting from battlefields, infinitely more momentous than interviewing newsmakers of the day: caring for his critically ill newborn son. Baier reflects on past challenges as he looks forward with hope, chronicling the steps on his path to national prominence as a television anchor, as well as his unexpected journey into the world of pediatric cardiac disease.
